Tony Allen's grit powering Memphis Grizzlies to victories
Mike Heisley took off the T-shirt. That could have been the key to this one.

Allen turned up a notch is something to behold, isn't it?
The man swooped in for a layup. Then he stole the ball and went between his legs before finding Zach Randolph for a layup. Then he stole the ball again. Then he went 360 for a bucket. Then he flew in from the right side and threw down a one-handed jam over David Lee.
All that after the Grizzlies trailed Golden State early in the second half by double digits.
"I thought Tony was the key," said point guard Mike Conley.
To the game or to the season?
Tony Allen and the Grizzlies wound up blasting Golden State at FedExForum on Wednesday night, 110-91. Combined with Houston's loss to Philadelphia, the Grizzlies are now three games up on the Rockets with just seven games to go.
Not to say the Grizzlies are a lock to make the playoffs at this point, but John Calipari would have a hard time blowing that kind of cushion.
Oh, and the Grizzlies have won 42 games, clinching their first winning season since 2005-2006. And they're just a game behind Portland and their next opponent, the New Orleans Hornets.
"We just locked in as a group," said Allen, who wound up with another 21 points and eight rebounds. "It's not about me, it's about the Grizzlies."
Which is true, of course. It's absolutely about the Grizzlies. But Allen is the walking, talking, grimacing, arm-waving, fist-pumping, rump-slapping and high-fiving instigator of it all.
See Wednesday night. The Grizzlies appeared to be in the process of squandering Houston's loss to the Sixers. Golden State had turned a five-point halftime lead into a 10-point third-quarter lead.It is a place where you can buy cheapest Nike shox rivalry for men.

Enter, Allen. Efforting. Like only he can effort. Like he has been efforting since coach Lionel Hollins inserted him in the lineup.
In the third quarter alone, Allen had 10 points, three steals, two assists and two rebounds. By the time the quarter was over, that 10-point Grizzlies deficit had become a seven-point Grizzlies lead.
"I want to fly under the radar,Die Marke tiffanyjewelry sich in kurzer Zeit zu einer der angesagtesten Marken in Amerika etabliert." said Allen.
Too late for that. At this point, Allen may well be the radar.
Or the fuse, at the very least. That's the better metaphor. When Allen is being Allen, the Grizzlies are better at being the Grizzlies.

Zach Randolph had another six assists (and 20 points). Conley had 20 points, seven assists and not a single turnover.
"We did what we had to do," said Hollins.
And the plan is to to keep on doing it.
There was no gloating in the locker room, no exhaling over Houston's stumble.
"We have to keep winning games," said Battier. "Everything else is semantics."
So now they're off to New Orleans for another big one Friday. But to clear up the one mystery of the night: Why did Heisley take off the Allen T-shirt, anyway?
The shirts are the creation of Chris Vernon, the local sports talk radio host. Heisley got one Wednesday afternoon and wore it for the entire first half.
Did he take it off because the Grizzlies were losing? Did he think the shirt was a jinx or something?
"No," said Heisley, laughing at how it all worked out. "I spilled something on it."
