Local rap artist Fausto “Legal Alien” Lopez will release the full-length version of his album “Stories to be Told” during a CD release party Friday at Kennedy Skate Park.

The CD, which Lopez produced and recorded at his home studio, includes performances by local artists Jonathan “Firstperson I” Porter and the late Christopher “Citizen Aim” Walk.
Lopez released a demo CD of the same name in August 2009. Since then, he has been signed by AudioSketchBook Records, who mastered the new full-length album at their studio. The album includes the music of the demo as well as new tracks.
Born in Los Angeles, Lopez was raised in Watts. He grew up surrounded by gang violence, not only in his neighborhood but also in his household.
With older brothers heavily involved in one of the local gangs, brutal beatings and big-time drug deals were an everyday occurrence for Lopez.
Because of this, his family decided to move to Yuma in 1994.
